Deodorizing

If you’re prone to profuse and odorous perspiration there could be an underlying hormonal or physiological cause, but using a deodorizing body oil after a bath may help.

BODY DEODORIZING ESSENTIAL OILS

  • Peppermint (Mentha piperita)
  • Petitgrain (Citrus aurantium)
  • Clary sage (Salvia sclarea)
  • Eucalyptus peppermint (Eucalyptus dives)
  • Thyme linalol (Thymus vulgaris ct. linalool)
  • Palmarosa (Cymbopogon martinii)
  • Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin)
  • Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens)
  • Pine (Pinus sylvestris)
  • Cistus (Cistus ladaniferus)
  • Bergamot (Citrus bergamia)
  • Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens)
  • Mastic (Pistacia lentiscus)
  • Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha)
  • Coriander seed (Coriandrum sativum)

Choose from the oils listed above, or use the blend below, to make your own body oil. Use a small amount over the body after a bath or shower.

BODY DEODORIZING ESSENTIAL OIL BLEND

Clary sage5 drops
Cypress8 drops
Bergamot FCF8 drops
Coriander seed2 drops

Blend the essential oils together, then dilute 2–3 drops to each teaspoon (5 mL) of carrier oil or dilute 2–3 drops per teaspoon of gel base. Use a small amount over the body after a bath or shower.
