Burns are damage to the tissue resulting from heat, over-exposure to the sun or other radiation, or interaction with chemicals or electricity. T may be mild medical issues or emergencies that are life-threatening.

For minor burns apply ice-cold water for at least 10 minutes. Then put 2 drops of undiluted lavender oil directly onto the affected area. Put 5 drops of lavender onto a dry, cool compress and cover the area. Repeat as needed.

Cool by running the area under a cold-water tap, dry, and then apply 1 drop of undiluted lavender to the burn.

Other Essential Oils That Could Be Used to Treat This Condition: *chamomile german (Matricaria recutita)

Blisters from burns and scald

Do not pierce the blister. Put 1 drop of undiluted lavender oil onto the blister and then hold an ice-cold compress over the area for at least 10 minutes. Cover with a piece of dry, clean gauze. Repeat up to three times a day.

Other Essential Oils That Could Be Used to Treat This Condition: geranium, tea tree, eucalyptus radiata, *chamomile german (Matricaria recutita), *palmarosa (Cymbopogon martinii)
