A bruise/bump is a common injury to the skin that results in skin discoloration. Near the surface of the skin, blood from damaged blood cells deep under the skin pools, resulting in what we think of as a black and blue mark.
Symptoms:
A fresh bruise can actually be reddish, initially. Within a couple of hours, it can turn blue or dark purple, then yellow or green for a few days as it heals.
For the first few days, a bruise is normally tender, and sometimes even painful, but the pain usually goes away as the color fades.
Since a bruise does not split the skin, there is no chance of infection.
Make up 2 bowls of water, 1 hot and 1 cold, and add the following to both:

Basic bruises blend
Soak a washcloth in each bowl and apply them alternately to the bruise and the surrounding area.
Then apply a small amount of the following oil:
Blend together and then dilute by adding 4–5 drops to each teaspoon (5 mL) of carrier oil or aloe vera gel.
Alternative bruises blend
Immortelle | 3 drops |
Lavender | 2 drops |
Blend together and then dilute by adding 4–5 drops to each teaspoon (5 mL) of carrier oil or aloe vera gel.
Other Essential Oils That Could Be Used to Treat This Condition: *chamomile german (Matricaria recutita), *cypress (Cupressus sempervirens), *immortelle (Helichrysum italicum)
